Default Gawadar's control transferred to China...!

Dear All,
Today , another important event has been marked as geo-political strategy of Pakistan. President Zardari signed agreement with Chinese company to relocate complete administrative control of Gawadar port making it free port(taking it from Singapore ports and shippings) while its legal prerogative will remain with Pak government. This will create serious repercussions in the whole region ; especially in south asia, middle-east, central asia, southern europe, the USA and Russian concerns.
Please share your view-points what effects you are expecting.

i think this is a good decision because we need a huge finance and expertise ,and we have not both of them thats why Gawadar port delay to active and fruitful for country.well you ask about the impacts..but you also remember we also going to seriously sign with contractors Pak Iran Gas pipeline... and recently mr. Rehman Malik in Iran getting some agreements on security and fight against terrorism..
with above current affairs i think foreign (Eastern, western,US) pressure put up to pakistan, as well there should be more security issues may be in Baluchistan.

There would be a decline in US -pak relation.and the downward spirit will accelerate more... As already there is no conflict of interest nor mutuality of interest..
Pak has also signed NATO supply agreement with USA till 2015 in last august.but certain promises of aid according to Kerry lugar bill has not yet been fulfilled.. The contract of gawadar with china was already in dialogue from last many months so the USA didnt give the aid promised under Kerry lugar bill while pakistan opened the bases again for them...
Recently Richard Olson said" that's true that money is involved and we have not been able to do that as yet, so we are working on it as how to allow funds and spend them to fulfil our commitments"..
They simply don,t want the gawader contract of pak with china. So there will be less Aid,more restrictions. And a reaction to that ,acceleration in US-India relation.. And may be more conflicts in balochistan and fata.
Compared with the US, look at pakistan,s partnership with china where billion of dollars worth of projects are launched without fanfare and without insensitively reminding pakistan everyday about the aid or for asking audit reports.and never have put restriction on aid , nor levied sanctions on pakistan.

well i think it is going to be very interesting.although we would have some clashes and loss of aids.but i say this is good ,till when will we feed on Americas aid.Gawadar port will increase employment.i don't know what impact it is going to have on our economy because i am not an economic student bu i guess it will increase.and the second thing is India was always against this that gawadar port shall not be given to china and this decision in reply to the line of control

I think you mean to say this should not have been done. Why?

As far as i think. This is a good initiative taken by govt. of Pakistan, because China is our neighboring country and a close friend and they always support us in whole world. So now if we can do anything for our great friend, we should not hesitate.

Our govt should not take any kind of pressure from US or any other side in this issue. Because everybody know that US is not our friend.

Default Win win for both countries

this was long due decision but timing was not in the favour. Now the timing is perfect.

we want to get out of US aid reliance and need to revert to old friends as situation suggests.

In this way Pakistan will be facilitated with modern deep port requirements and will achieve economy of scale because large ships with huge capacity will be able to berth. And china which do not provide aid, will invest in finances and expertise in building required infrastructure. And Pakistan will also be able to liberalize it trade (including services) with china currently Pakistan is importing goods worth $10 billions against $2 billions export.

this project is also utmost important for china too, as it become costly for china to transport goods from its north to south and ship to america, Europe etc. And via pakistan it will become effective in terms of cost & time for china to ship / trade with world.

ALLAH PAKISTAN KA HAFIZ wa NASR HO

Guys, notice a point which can create a setback in diplomatic relations of ours with middle-east as well. For, it is decided in the agreement that china wants to make it free trade zone (free port) just like Dubai in a year or two. And we can definitely observe the outcome of it as recent targeted bombing in Quetta, Karachi and Peshawar. So, UAE also will never want to loose its strong position on ports. the position of the USA is known to everyone what she can do at most. But, a tactical game will be played by Russia and Central asian states in this sequence...!
We shall focus on them as well.

I dont think this is something we should be proud on or feel good. This shows our incapability. We are too incompetent to take care of our own thing. We have to rent out our things so that others can earn and give us a small amount of what they earn.

Default gwadar port

As Pakistan is getting profit of 20 millions annually from the European market for last few years but if we extend our trade towards central Asian countries then we can get double of our profit. As the central Asian countries are the best consumers of international products but Pakistan can give them a proper route of trade through gawadar port ,so it was a best step taken by the govt to overcome the energy and financial crisis of our country.
