Default "Dharna" Culture and its Consequences.

Started by Allama Qadri last month from Islamabad, the "Dharna" (Sit in) style of protest has spread in all Pakistan and playing havoc with the everyday life of Pakistanis

First, we saw life at standstill in Capital city of Pakistan for a week, then Came the turn of Quetta after bomb blasts and now it has spread to all cities. What i saw in lahore recently, that a group of people managed to close the newly started Metro Bus service for full day bringing hardships to hundreds of thousands passengers. Then, they stop the road to Airport and left the passengers in great distress who had to miss the flights. In faisalabad, the lawyers are on Dharna for pressing their demands. The Young Doctors last week were also on Dharna on busy roads to put people in trouble.

I fear more "Dharans" in future and more disruption in civic life. Nobody is ready to accept the place offered by the Government to stage protest. Does anybody has a solution to avoid this new style protest on roads ?

Arrow

Please think about the situation when every one come out of home with pistol or arms and start killing opponent sect follower, is that better than dharna, the democratic way of non violent movement.

And the blcokage of roads and airports are very fair for those who had lost the lives of their beloved relatives.

And its very easy to Just critisize the people who hold dharnas.

First of all i shall request all who read it that these all are my views.

Govt has basic duty to protect the lives and properties of citizens.
When govt fails to do so its v true that such things will happen. Read the French Revolution. You will be answered all of thse questions.

When you work with ethics and fulfill the true demands of citizens these things will automatically end up.

Our first duty is to select honest person who accommodate us.
according to me, only one person in 100 is honest and rest of 99 are bad and layman can not recognize who is honest.

That is why i say that persons holding BA degree should have the right to cast vote only. All our problems will be solved.

You are Right.
But we have to choose who is right and who is wrong.
We should not sacrifice our long term goals, rather i shall say our fate for very less benefit we get unofficially. For example you would be well aware of these deals as i am witness of such things. the votes are sold for only 100 per head.
That are the all that culprit people who are in Majority in Govt.
