Default Najam sethi named as punjab caretaker cm
AAPAS KI BAAT HAI

The provincial parliamentary committee finally resolved the deadlock and named Najam Sethi as caretaker Chief Minister Punjab.

The PML-N proposed names of Justice (retd) Amir Raza Khan and former bureaucrat Khuwaja Zaheer while the opposition suggested names of Najam Sethi, senior journalist and political commentator, and Justice (retd) Zahid Hussain.

first thing we r really moving towards democracy .... second thing at least politicians made consensus on one issue..... third thing media would be happy and without doubts.... forth thing big challenge for media person now o prove what he talks on show ...

I don't think he is controversial thats why two arc rivals agreed on nominating him as care-taker CM Punjab. He, unlike other journalists, has been very unbiased in his analyses, though not very happy with the judiciary. Good choice indeed. Chirya caged.

After hearing his name floating for the Care-Taker CM Punjab,i thought he would not want to take up this reponsibilty but strange that Mr sethi is happy in becoming part of the Care-Taker Set Up.

I wish him best of luck and i hope that one of my favourite journalists will play his part in free and fair elections.

Good to see journalists are deemed fit to take the interim Chief ministership, apart from the prevalent ex-judges phobia. I wish if this honour would have been given to Syed Talat Hussain or Moeed Pirzada. Both are upright and true to their jobs.
