Street crime is the easiest and most fruitful way to snatch a lot of valueable in the quickest possble time with a very little risk of apprehension. If we see the causes to my mind things like:
1. Growth of terrorism activities in the country just has taken more importance for the law enforcing agensies and street crimes have become on thier least priority.
2. Deployment of almost 40% of our troops (that include Rangers, Police, Traffic Police, Intelligence Agensies, Armed forces) on the protection and convoy escorting of VIPs and VVIPs thus shifting the focus.
3. Taking advantage of the gap left by these deployments of troops, few influential people have organised the methodology of street crime.
4. Easy access to the Guns and Ammunition.
5. Lack of Database facility in out metropolitans.
6. JOBLESSNESS - which is forcing even well educated individual to get involved in street crimes to earn thier bread and butter.
