Game is almost over for govt: Fazl
SLAMABAD: The game is almost over for the PPP government and the situation has reached a point which was eagerly being awaited by many people, said Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman Sunday.
He was talking to this correspondent on the phone from his native village in Dera Ismail Khan. He said the government should recognise the ground realities and understand that the game is slipping through its hands as sand slips through the fist.
Commenting on the fast changing situation he said the impact of the MQM’s political injection to the government is fading and it immediately needs a new injection and for this it has to accept the MQM’s conditions.
He said his party had already told the government to take major steps but their advice was ignored. When asked what role he would play in the prevalent situation, he said the JUI had already snapped links with the government. “ Now we can just roll the beads and I am doing that by sitting in my village,” said the Maulana.
