Candidates belonging to tribal areas of balochistan fall under the special scheme program. The remaining candidates belonging to quetta etc are exempted from it.

So basically he was there because the merit went so low. Is it due the shortage of petro engns (above merit) or anything or some other factors are also there. And could you plz share the details as to how many candidates were called (OK I remember 14?) and their individual score.

I didn't individually ask all the students their relative scores. Its just that i asked a few.Secondly, its not due to shortage of petroleum engineers.Still there are several candidates whom i know that have not received mails,and their score is in 60's.

I have received the email .. my interview is on 28th .. Wish me luck guys

Can you please inform me about the TA/DA those who have given interviews because i dont have any relatives in Karachi and i ll have to travel through PIA or some other airline

You do have a valid point that the merit might vary with disclipline .. My conclusion was based on what I had read & I might be wrong

Does anyone else think that ppl is interviewing in batches? Like 10 MEs and Civil one one day and next 10, 10 another day. In short they are calling more engineers than any one candidate gets to know. Any thoughts?

I had received the mail 2.i am also a civil engineer.tell me how are you planning to go to karachi.Where you reside? if you agree we can plan to go together cause i have the same situation no relative in karachi .
