Brothers ! The second interview at this level of induction is really surprising since the first batch is working has been inducted through NTS + one interview. In fact the practice of PSO for hiring trainees through IBA test in which candidate is tested from his revevent discipline ie 60% from relevant academic & 40% English, GK & general ability base, finally candidate calls for interview. This time recently may HR revise hiring policy. (My opinion)

In second interview the key member is LINE management where the candidate to be placed in his department. This person is professional in his field ask you many questions from your field of specialization and if one is experienced would be asked from his both ie- academic + experience. Satisfaction of line management (they may be GM /DGM, head of department throughout country operational activities) is mandatory while the other members / member may be asked you conventional questions because 2nd interviewers are already assessed & cleared by HR interview committee. I advise, you people must view the PSO website before appearing the interview.

Ok I think I better update you guyz with authentic information.

PSO had been conducting interviews from 5th july in Karachi and interviewers in Karachi and Islamabad interviews were conducted on Skype.

this first(1st) interview lasted for 13 days till 18 july after that 2nd interview calls were made to selected candidates only.

on 26 July-total of 23 final candidates were interviewed by MD Yahya Mir Himself in Karachi PSO Head Office. Intervew was general which lasted for maximum of 3 minutes for each candidates.Candidates name,intro,university and FYP was asked in it,That's it.

on 27 july-interview was conducted for Islamabad and lahore on Skype.total of 18 final candidates were called in Islamabad Office.about Lahore office,I do not know the candidates.

all were mechanical engineers.I am a NUST graduate.

On 20June,PM Nawaz sharif Put a ban on all recruitments in federal organisations and federal autonomous bodies and PSO comes under it too so,How would PSO hire new employees when a ban is in effect?
About the Ban,anybody can open google and write PM bans federal recruitment and you will get all newspapers link confirming it.
Don't doubt any technical aspect of this Ban because I was selected in SSGC but due to this ban,I have also been put on a hold so if OGDCL,SSGC has cancelled their appointments so how can PSO hires new employees?

First i have to ask you about your field department ? Has interviews been taken at lahore or only karachi and islamabad?how many seats of mechanical engineering were there ? One correction interview in islamabad was also on 26 .

What about final selection of 2nd interview held at 26 july .Will they select All candidates ?

All sort of hiring/transfer/posting/interview is suspended due to replacement of MD. Today a crucial meeting is due in which MD may take some important decision on HR issues including this one. I will update you later as minutes of meeting will be disclosed.
