In sha Allah, we all inspectors will go together in Karachi to face the situation. We do not deserve "undue" strictness. I positively hope everything will go smoothly. Let's see what happens. And yes, Muhammad Wisal, we are required to produce medical certificate but it has not yet been communicated to us. It will be said to us through the FBR offer letter, which is yet awaited. One thing I'd like to mention is there were no physical requirements in the posts in question.

As per my experience in Karachi :
We were required to present medical reports from only a Federal Government owned Hospital. It included blood tests for Hep B & C along with normal bloodwork checkup ( glucose, red blood cells, platelets etc ), normal Chest X-Ray, and various Eye tests to check for color blindness and short sighted eyes along with a simple urine test. This process took high levels of "Khajal Khuwari" since Government Hospitals are a jungle of confusion & chaos. After submitting these reports to the Federal Civil Surgeon, we were again put through a week long process which included Testicles Check (No Contact, Just Visual assessment to look for abnormalities), Eye Tests ( yes again ), weight & height check, blood-pressure & lastly a very costly 800 Rupees Hepatitis Vaccine Injection. These tests were administered by separate medical officers of ministry of health. After that, all compiled reports were sent to the federal civil surgeon for final check. She called us all one by one by one, and again personally took tests for Height-Weight, BP, and the manhuus eye test ( by this time I had memorized the letters ). Candidates who were found to be over/under weight were told to gain/loose body mass. For example, A 90 Kg person was told to loose 10 kg while a 50 kg person was told to gain 10 kg. Candidates with high BP's were told to regulate their blood-pressures. Candidates with un-healthy urine sample reports were told to prohibit all types of tainted substance ( guthka mawa chalia smoking etc ) and come back with a clean sample reports. While it is near impossible to gain or loose 10 kg in such a short amount of time ( about 4-7 days ) without supplementry help. The candidates, if they were able to gain / loose 2-4 kg were cleared by the civil surgeon, so it wasn't necessary that you had to gain/loose 10 kgs. Still, check your weight according to the Height-To-Weight Ratios on the internet to be on the safe side.

Department is Inland Revenue & my post was UDC.
But Dept & Post are irrelevant since the medical exams were conducted as per Federal Policy for induction of all newly appointed Govt. employees. There were other civil servants from other departments as well ( i.e BS-15/14 ) who were also subjected to this medical assessment phase. But the level of assessment varies from place to place. For example, I met some candidate s who were from Islamabad & they said the medical process was very smooth & not rigorous as much as in Karachi. Still, I am not confirmed whether where you guys will be required to get your medical certificates from, so just giving you guys some cautionary information.. just in case .

I know bro, that is why I was heavily confused when going through this whole ordeal.. At one point I started to think if I was being drafted into the Army.
