According to a Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) official report, over 40000 candidates appeared in the test of IRS Inspector; if only 4 FPSC employees worked just 6 hours daily on scanning answer-sheets via OMR machines, the result should be finalized in just 1 month. An OMR machine checks the answer-sheet in just one minute or even less. [4 (employees) multiplied by 30 (days) multiplied by 6 (hours) multiplied by 60 (minutes) = 43200 (answer-sheets checked)]. Add one more month for sending letters to the respective candidates. This is a process of, at most, 2 months and not a day more than that but our bureaucratic, lazy and dormant FPSC, for this process, has taken about 8 months and counting.

Are you sure they are having machines to check OMR sheets? as per my info they are doing it manually: yes manually.

FPSC has abandoned those OMR machines for long...... those sheets are checked manually. I hope if you recalculate by replacing OMR machine with man, than result declaring date would be around 8 or 9 months, which is making sense I guess.

Why dont they outsource scanning thing to NTS and charge some extra money from candidates ?

I think It's better to give some extra money (50 or 100 rupees more) than to wait 10 months.

This is bare nonsense to justify FPSC's lazy employees' warfare against the jobless that FPSC has parted with the OMR machines and this is why the result is so late; had FPSC truly abandoned the OMR machines, why did the IR Inspector examination have the OMR answer-sheets? I do not know if FPSC is still handing out the OMR answer-sheets to new aspirants or its potential victims (as I'd like to regard them as). Let's accept the bitter truth FPSC is lazy. It may be fair, but it is a lazy organization which needs stern and merciless public scrutiny. After how FPSC declared some of the very deserving and legit winners of its poorly-managed contest "the CSS exam" as failures by getting them failed in English Essay paper, I will be murdering justice utterly, if I ever assert FPSC to be even a "fair" organization. I have personally read this in a newspaper that FPSC has literally instructions issued beforehand to the professors of universities who check the CSS exam papers that you have to fail this much percentage of candidates. Such non-seriousness, incompetence and lack of professionalism due in an examination which is a matter of life or death to lacs of Pakistanis is the reason enough to hold FPSC employees in the wrong and protest for their swift punishment/prosecution.

FPSC, forgetful of the fact that this is the age of social media when masses cannot be kept in the dark or be fooled, declared failed a candidate whose mastery over English language can be solemnly borne witness to by anyone -- on this very forum, because everyone can personally see his posts well-written in English language, as to how he could fetch merely 17 marks in English Essay paper, esp. despite getting good marks in his English Comprehension paper; this has exposed the FPSC totally. FPSC needs out-and-out reforms to come out of the controversies brewing in the wake of its growing inefficiencies/laziness. All eyes are on the new Chairman, let's see if he refuses to go with the tide.

Dear the problem with fpsc is its interview taking capacity not checking of omr sheets..fpsc is a very professional organization that does everything according to its approved sops... usually the result of any post is announced keeping in view the availability of interview panel..had it been just a matter of announcing result of written part exam, the commission would have announced every result within 2 months..the best example to relate is the written result of a.d I.B which was held 3 months after inspector irs' test..the said result is announced because the passed candidates have to appear in a descriptive test that again will consume minimum 3 months to shortlist candidates for interview..

any update about result?

Less candidates applied for AD IB.That's why its result came early.
