** HEC will conduct its own aptitude test for this scholarship
** Applicants must have PEC/PCATP registration numbers on or before deadline
*** Fill out the application form carefully, choose desired countries in the form carefully. Choose the countries, where you can get admission with your profile. Choose the countries, where your desired major for MS leading to PhD or PhD is being offered. As, if you get finalized by HEC after tests and document screening etc, then you have to secure admission in the countries of your choice.HEC will facilitate you but will not support fully to get admission letter from university/country of your choice. If you have written any such country where you will not be able to get admission based on your profile or you fail university admission criteria, then dun write it as first choice smile emoticon

Is there anyone who has received any scholarship on a below average academic record? I have 61% in intermediate and 3.27 cgpa in engineering. Can I recieve this scholarship by performing well in the test?

It depends on your discipline of engineering degree... Highest cut off score last year was of Electrical Engineers..

BSc Mechatronics Engineering 3.41 CGPA
MS Mechanical Engineering 2.79 CGPA
3 Papers submitted in good reputed journals. All are under review.
Now I have 2 questions

1) I defended my MS Thesis on 3 February and gave External Examiner viva on 15 February. I could not get my complete transcript yet and it is highly unlikely that I will get it before 30th April but when I will get my transcript it will say that my degree completed on 15 February. However I do have incomplete transcript showing my course work. Can I apply on the basis of it and give them complete transcript If I could get selected later?

2) Can I apply with 2.79 GPA in PhD ? In Pakistan a 3.0 GPA minimum is must to get admission in PhD ?

ms leading to phd is being offered in only 3 countries i.e south korea, turkey and italy and although belgium is the 4th option i dont think any muslim would want to go there right now.
in turkey ielts or any other language certificate is a must also u have to learn turkish no matter what discipline u may choose. that basically leaves italy and south korea. i think korea is highly rated than italy in education. if anybody knows how to proceed for admissions in their universities mentioned on the hec site plz share info here. only 9 days left now and i am still confused
