The objective is to provide free laptops to 100 thousand brilliant students currently studying at public sector colleges and universities or are high achievers of the Boards of Punjab in Matriculation Examinations. The motivation and enthusiasm behind this scheme is to help students rise above problems and hurdles they face in their path to gain knowledge and excel professionally

Eligibility Criteria

One hundred thousand Laptops will be provided to following categories of youth in Punjab:

All students of 4 years BS Degree Programme who have secured
60% or above marks (in the previous year) in case of annual examination system OR
70% or above marks (in the previous semester) in case of semester system
All post graduate students (Part I & II) of 2 year Masters Degree Programme, who have secured
60% or above marks (in the previous year) in case of annual examination system OR
70% or above marks (in the previous semester) in case of semester system
All students of Engineering Universities and Medical Colleges, who have secured
60% or above marks (in the previous year) in case of annual examination system OR
70% or above marks (in the previous semester) in case of semester system
All currently enrolled students/scholars of MS, LLM, M.Phil and Ph.D
The top 100 students of each Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education of Punjab


In case of 1st year students, the data for the last examination in which the student appeared, shall be considered.

my name is also in the list....

but one of my friend has told me some harsh facts about it.....

First, you have to give 15,000 to Govt.... hehehehheeeeeeeeee

2nd, at the end of degree, you have to return the laptop

3rd, if you make something wrong with the laptop, Govt will make a fine of Rs. 20,000/= to you.... hheheheheeeeeeeeee


Now the other question.....

No one applied, it was automatically done by the universities and punjab government.... and those who are eligible should go to the website to register in there name :P

They have not consider all enrolled m.phill/ms students in list, as i know few m.phill students their name is not announced.

@ Roqayyah, initially it happened. They missed some of the students but afterwards most of the lists have been updated so far. Same happened with our class of M Phil. Now all of us are in list.....

i have also heard the same news...

15000 is just a security deposit, it will be returned back to u once u complete ur degree.

if any body do not return the laptop at the end of his degree, his concerned institute will not issue him/her final degree...
