I've got 84 marks in Social Sciences and applied for Turkish Universities, can anyone tell me about the importance of Ielts and my chances of getting scholarship.

Your final selection will depend upon your performance in interview and how you defend your research proposal, if you will be shortlisted........Most of the Turkish universities exempt HEC scholars from IELTS/TOEFL.......However you will have advantage over other applicants if you have good IELTS score........best of luck

Your chances of shortlisting depend upon this year's merit because Turkish Universities are involved for the 1st time in options, though your score is quite good. Some Turkish universities give 2 options either take ILETS before submission of application or take english language exam in Turkey upon securing admission. But it is highly recommended to take IELTS before applying as it increases chances of getting admission.

I think you should go for British Council, As it is acceptable everywhere.
And minimum 6.5 band is required in Turkish Universities.

Both IELTS has same value and same procedure...........AEO is better IELTS with respect to getting marks
