In my opinion, the best approach is to start with Maths, then do the English and then Analytical in the end. Ideally, around 35 minutes should be given to Maths, 15 to English and then around 80 minutes to the Analytical part. The trick to managing time is to not waste time on the questions you do not know the answer too, particularly in the English portion. For example, if you do not know the opposite to the word, there is no use of spending time on that. Just choose an answer and get done with it. In maths and analytical, if you feel a question is taking a lot of time, leave that question and proceed to the next one. Then in the last 10 minutes or so, revisit the questions that you skipped earlier. Also if you are quick at arithmetic calculations, that can help you get through the maths section pretty quickly. For English, I didn't do anything other than doing the GRE words, which I was already doing for CSS 15. To be honest, those words were of use for questions of around 5 marks only.
and from where the GRE Words, please
Totally agreed with rk umar and appreciate his honesty. Most of the people who got good scores or marks boast themselves as if they are the ones with super Einstein sort of intelligence. That may be the case but Its one in millions. There is no substitute for hard work guys.Hard and smart effort can make a hell of difference.
I have already replied to that post. I am not boasting or anything. And it really doesn't matter whether you or anyone else believes what I said or not. I have never advised anyone to go to test without preparation. Whenever a friend or junior asked me for help, I advised him on how to prepare for the test. But if you want me to say I prepared a lot for the test, sorry, my life doesn't revolve around making you or anyone else believe me.
and from where the GRE Words, please
Barron's 800 words. But as I said, that list helps, for a very small portion of the test. Even in the antonym or analogy section, not all the words are from that list.

I did not mention you specifically that was a general statement.Your previous statements gave vague messages regarding GAT preparations and scores and now you clarify things in response of our statements.Plus your academic back ground plays a part in your over all performance in GAT sort of tests as a person with strong Maths or Physical Sciences back ground can definitely do better than a person with Humainities and Social science background with little preparation.

Thank you. I hope you learn to take others' success positively in future.

I did not give any vague statement. Whoever here asked me about how to prepare, I did advise him. But when I was asked about how I prepared and which book I used, I only replied to that thing.
