I am also shortlisted for final interview for MS leading to PhD program in France.

I spoke to my professors and some friends who are currently studying in France. They are almost in total agreement that HEC does not have good intentions in disbursing the scholarship for following two reasons.

1. The deadline of 20th April, 2015 is simply stupid. I have browsed through a number of universities websites and in most of them last date of application lasts till Mid May and even in July, 2015. And no French university is going to put aside their formal procedure of panel interview just for the sake of a random Pakistani HEC scholar.

2. We are required to secure admission in M2 program that is offered in 'English'. This is nothing beyond a joke. HEC must have some knowledge of the fact that most programs in French public universities are offered in French.

Now, chances are high that most of us won't be able to secure admission before the given deadline by HEC. I consulted former HEC scholars and they asked me to go and visit HEC office in person (EMAILs don't work in public institutions most of the time. HEC damn cares about random emails popping up in their mailbox).

Therefore, I would like to know how many of you are seriously interested in availing this scholarship and would like to spend a day in HEC's office in Islamabad?

We can visit their office together and ask them to:
1) extend the nonsense deadline from 20th April or even consider us for next year's award
2) remove the restriction of English M2 program

Rightly said the above said deadline doesnot make a sense. I have talked to a number of universities representative and they hardly give response due to above mentioned reasons.

Sorry for interruption, Can anyone guide how to get selected/shortlisted for this scholarship? I'm having master degree with 3.6CGPA

I sent email to hec regarding english language restriction. They said you can opt program in french but english is for your convenience. Secondly all those who are contacting different universities, how you are doing that? I am sending emails to concerned departments to know about admission. One problem i am facing is that some websites offer an option to change the language of website in eng but some don't. How you people deal with those universities?

what about the 20th april deadline? do u ask for extension? at what address you emailed to hec?

Tehreem Biya: I am writing emails to program administrators the addresses of whom are given on programs page. But so far no response from any of them.
Regarding page translation, install chrome extension of 'google translate', it translates the pages into English, thus you don't need to worry about Eng option on webpage itself.

I got a response from Sohail, AD-HEC, he did not answer the question on extending deadline. Rather he was saying that during final interview with French embassy, they'll ask us about the admission letter etc.
You can email the same guy from whom you got notification of being short-listed if any.

i just sent my query to Mr. Sohail who sent guidelines regarding admission in France.

I asked if i can take a program in french. He replied yes you can but give preference to english as it will be comfortable for you.

I am facing a problem. I am applying for masters in journalism or communication. The problem is admissions are opened till may and in some universities admission will be confirmed by the end of june. Now what to do?

Yup. The same issue in management sciences.

HEC told me that we will be interviewed by French officials for finalization of the scholarship. Therefore, earlier we submit them an admission letter, the chances of getting us short-listed for the scholarship are higher.
