I guess many simply speculate here and don't know that in KPPSC all rules are written they have to follow those. No registrar or so called sources are of any use.
I personally have experienced the working of commission in recent past by qualifying two ability tests (AD- Police Department) and (SS-History). In first case i secured 58 and cutoff was 52 in other I got 52 and cutoff was 41. I wasn't able to go for interview. Reason: not having MPhil for first mentioned post though I have two years research experience but that was the condition. And in second post B.Ed was condition which I hadn't. In neither case they announced a pre-planned cuttoff, cause as per their rules they cannot. Same will happen here, it all depends how many candidates are more than 40 benchmark. If 400 are above 40 in each zone, merit will be decided between those 400. It's very simple |

57 from Zone-2.
Fingers crossed. In my personal opinion, candidates securing more than 50 marks are on the safe side.

40, Zone 2
by the way wouldn't it be a lot easier and better if the KPPSC offered the whole result for download |

DEAR ALL.
Commission is going to shortlist 50 candidates per seat. Now the number of seats for zone 1, for instance, is 7. KPPSC will shortlist top 350 candidates out of 40 and plus scorers. That could be in 40s, 50s, 60s and so on. Personally i believe candidates securing 60 and above will be called on merit seats. Rest 45 ----- 60 on zonal quota. For zone 1 and 2 merit would be higher as compared to other zones. |

Fellows! Please give some rest to the rumour mill. Do not jump to conclusions and waste your time on these petty issues. KPPSC guys are paid to do this work, so let them do their job.
P.S: There are a million things to worry about. Have a good time. Regards.

I shared it on the forum in good spirit and with a point of view that maybe the commission is going to change its policy for this test. It was under the heading "unofficial", yet some of you guys are so emotional about it. Anyway what's going to be is going to be! Mere someone's wishful thinking can't change it. Good luck to every one. |
