Well, sir, I don't take clerks' words seriously now, especially after five years of experience in applying for public service jobs. I started when ANP was in power, and that was worse time, cause whenever I tried to inquire they simply ignored. And even results were not declared then, that was the scenario!

With the current commission I have an experience of four tests including last PMS interview, where I came to know the honorable members as well. There's a huge difference now, everything is done according to PSC rules and regulations and it's all uploaded on website. Nothing can be altered once a rule is enacted, not even Chairman of the commission can.

Why I say this? Cause I have a personal experience when I secured 58 in a recent ability test, I was told by the clerks, "Kam zone na yaye ji taso? I said; 5. Them: Balo ba ji 52 marks di cutoff beghuma shay. Called once again: There was another clerk; Kam zone na yaye ji, again I repeated, this time new cutoff. Every clerk has its own way of dealing. But reality is they too guess and don't know unless the concerned director reveals it to them, and that too is revealed just before announcing the result. However, even clerks of PSC are changed for good now, atleast they entertain candidates positively.

Now the significant part is when the result was declared finally by the commission, I was not called for the interview, I phoned them and asked for the reasons provided I was well ahead of the cutoff. I was very politely answered by a senior member that I have not the M.Phil and it doesn't matter If you have job experience of 2 or 5 years. I will repeat his words, "Bache tasaka advertisement shate kana aghe ke detail ke wale na gore, har sa kho clear de aghe ke". I wasn't satisfied even then and I said that I have 2 years of research experience and it shall be counted as equivalent as the advertisement mentioned MPhil or equivalent. He referred to the commission's procedure in that matter, and said; bache de ke kho chairman sb hum competent authority na da che sa decision ba akhle, da kho already rules and procedure k decided de"


All my argument on cutoff is deduced from these experiences and rules of the advertisement and later Presser by the commission. You can see the presser on PMS ability test here
