Cutt off marks will be different for different zones. For Zone 2 and 4 it might be fixed at 50.. For others 40 or 45 would do, since 350 candidates from each zone are to be called. Kppsc will consider the matter for every candidate atleast securing passing marks.. although in the hearing at PHC, Kppsc officials themselves admitted that there were irregularities in the exam, and open use of mobile phones have been (at that time) reported.

There can't be same cutoff standard for every zone in any case. For instance, If the passing benchmark is 40 per advertisement then all who secured above 40 shall be considered as 'QUALIFIERS' of the ability test. Then comes the 50/seat formula. So it is to be seen how many scored more than 40 in each zone. If for a certain zone total number of seats are 5, 250 candidates would be called for the written from that zone. Realistically speaking, in such a test If one is saying that 250 candidates scored more than 60 then there must be something wrong with the exam. Not everybody is a topper, there will always be difference.

As far zones are concerned, I have seen in the past the Peshawar, Mardan, Charssada region has tough competition in comparison to Hazara region or Malakand. So, definietely there has to be different benchmark for different zones.

Then there are these merit seats. These too would be consuming candidates. So, I don't know why people are playing with the emotions of us all by taking different sources.

Thanks Nawazish brother. Let's see. If 50 is the cutt off score then I'm gone.. but I feel kppsc will consider the case of all getting atleast passing mark. 40 was the passing threshold, and all this talk of registrar telling ABC and xyz predicting the cutt off score to be 50 seems unusual to me.

Ye wakt se pehle decide b kase hosakta hai. Registrar kia Chairman ke pas koi ikhtiar nai apni marzi ka cutoff lagane ka... Why would a registrar say that it is 50, i mean it is not making sense. Aise sorat me kia jab aik zone me 350th candidate ne 56 lie hue hun.

Jitna mushkil test tha is hisab se kuch b cutoff ban sakta hai, kisi zone me 44 ban sakta hai kisi me 57 kisi me 52... 40 agar passing hai to phir ye konsa rule hai ab 50 hogaya hai... lol
