Its awful that institutions who include negative marking in MCQ tests don't even realise the philosophy behind the taking of MCQ tests. MCQ test is based on recognition not recall. Recall is obviously centerpiece of rote learning system. With a lot of effort PPSC and KPSC has turned even MCQ testing into a competition between rote learners totally disregarding the philosophy behind MCQ testing.

I appreciate the KPPSC's this move! This would result in removing the frustration of those candidates who've been putting their noses to the grindstone, but due to their poor marks, determine through the KPPSC's Academic evaluation Formula (AEF), were unable to secure their desired slots even if they'd top the screening tests. Better late than never!

the new merit formula in fine, but there shouldn't be any negative marking..I'm not happy with that

I appreciate the new criteria by KP PSC because two times I got highest marks in ability tests for two different posts (BPS 16 & 17) and even topped the interviews but could not be recommended due to my low academic score.

I appriciate this new criteria by Kppsc...Actually in this system every candidate get equal chances to compete even they have quite diffrent academic records. Since we all know academic gradeing is not uniform in Pakistan so measureing abilties on equal scale based on academics is not justified.
And Yes negative marking is also good since that will eridicate chances of tukka mafia :-)
All the best for Aspirants
