Hello,

I want to ask the same question. I have passed my B.A 2012 in 2nd division and want to appear in css exams 2015 after completing my masters. I wish to do my M.A in Political Science as it is one of the major subjects of css. What do seniors of this forum think about this? Please tell me.

and Tayyaba Hussain. I would suggest same for you, Political science is the major subject in css. It will also cover many subjects of css like IR, LAW, Public administration. It will give you good ideas about these subjects.

Thankyou

Basit

Hi Tayyaba,

No problem if u r not interested in political science. But remember, whatever subject you take, it should be related to the CSS exam. if your aim is to appear in css 2015. It is not compulsory but it will help you in the css preparation.

take care

Hello Xaima,

Let me congratulate you for this big success. I have also passed my B.A 2012 in 2nd division and aim to appear in css 2015. My major in B.A 2012 was political science and sociology. I think Political science would be a good selection for Masters because we all know that Political science is a major subject in the subject list of css. In addition, It will also provide you good ideas about many other subjects. I have decided to take Political science. and I would suggest same for you.

I will also discuss books related to M.A Political science. let me ask seniors. and I have seen on this forum that u r asking different people and getting different answers. It will confuse you. Take 3 or 4 days and think about it. If you think Political Science would be easy for you and you can do it then make it your selection. You have a lot of time. Please think first. We will discuss more inshaALLAH.

take care

@tayyaba and @basit i also had the same issue.i was very confused about my masters subject, but thank God i have decided it now.

my bachelor(2 years) will be completed by july next year,i had political science and English literature as my majors during B.a

i have also the same intentions as you people i.e Css and i have decided that i Will go for English literature as a subject in my masters Inshallah.

The reasons behind this selection are:

literature broadens your mind thus enhancing your analytical skills

its not a single subject, but it actually caries alot of subjects in it like history, psychology, philosphy, sociology etc so pursuing studies in this subject Will also give us a brief introduction to a few other subjects as well

also there are a huge number of serving CSPs who are master in English thus proving the fact that,a master in English can help us get through this competitive exams

due to all these reasons i Will have my masters in english next year Inshallah

I also suggest you to rethink over it

regards!!!
