I can't go for English since i have no background of it, the only subject favorable for me is political science because i have studied it not only in university but also it is one of my optional subjects for ce, so it will be of great help as well as convenience to me.
further, ih is relatively more mark-fetching subject than indo pak or any other history subject, though with respect to the syllabus length, it is comparatively lengthier, so how did it disappoint you? Do you think the books by mazhar ul haq are sufficient to cover the entire syllabus in a sound manner.??

Farrukh, I also want to go for master's in pol science in QAU. But here the same problem my elective subjects differ from those listed in required subjects studied in bachelor's level. And i have graduated in natural science subjects. So am i eligible to apply or i shouldn't go for this? And if you don't mind can i ask the purpose of your leaving the uni at mid?

I think you should visit punjab University website www.pu.edu.pk OR contact pu inquiry phone number. Stay blessed.

Bystander let me tell you i am also from Thul As regards your query, from vintage point of css, political science is going to serve you in many ways, that is, you will be at advantage in optionals like pol sci., constitutional law, i.r, etc and in compulsory like pak affairs, current affairs, even in islamiat etc etc . As far as your second question, there is no restriction or requirement of any specific subject to be taken in graduation to make you eligible for masters in qau. no no , no such criteria. I am a B.A with history, and geography yet i made it in school of politics at qau.
By the way, as a student of natural sciences, why are you thinking of going for social sciences?

Yes dear we know each other very well and actually i am preparing for css so i thought that doing master's in subjects like pol. Sci. , pak studies and i.r etc would encourage me in my preparation. And i visited qau official website where in the list of required studied subjects at bachelor's level for applying in pol. Sci. There is no matching subject with my elective subjects whereas having graduated in b.a with history or geography you can get admission as in your case.

hahaha good. Yar, as you have already begun preparing for CE, why is there need then to go for masters if it's sole purpose is only css-oriented? You are on the right track, so go on with that instead of exhausting your precious 2 years just because it you think will help you in css. I think it would not be wise. As for pol sci or i.r , these subjects are not such as one cant opt for without having their background. You can prepare them fairly well on your own.
And the instructions placed on qau site, pertaining to the eligibility for pol.sci or i.r etc etc are outdated nd thus wrong. A number of my class fellows had their graduation in science. so you are eligible.

Hmm. Doing masters mainly for the reason that it will benefit you in ce is nothing else but wastage of time, and money.
Yar, more often than not, you hear the css qaulified and competent aspirants, throwing their weight around the idea not to join any academy. I really don't know how these academies help new aspirants out in tackling compulsory as well as optional subjects, within just span of 3 to 6 months. Yar, to be honest, within this period, you can't prepare even political science together with another optional if you haven't studied it before. So, academy culture is meant just for penny, to coin money only. Secondly and more importantly, Css is not a kind of exam such as entry test for medical, or engineering or admission entrance test for any university, that academies by their crash courses help you in faring on well in it. All you need is proper guidance, a bit of right push, and commitment and commitment and commitment.
This forum serves you as the best academy free of charges,so keep in touch with it.
