how many numbers inbetween 100 and 700 are divisible by 3, 5, and 7 but not divisible by 11

A. 6
B. 9
C. 11
D. 13

The answer is A

The numbers divisible by 3, 5, 7 at a time means divisible by 3*5*7=105

so between 100 and 700 these numbers are 6 which are 105, 210,315, 420, 525,630 and the 7th 735 is not included.

As 105 is not divisible by 11 so these 6 numbers are divisible by 3,5,7 and not by 11.

Post Numbers and Integers

A.O.A!
Numbers and Integers:
1) How many numbers b/w 200 and 300 are not divisible by 2, 3, or 5 ?

A) 24
B) 25
C) 26
D) 27

C) 26 is the correct answer.
Hint: While solving it, keep in mind that the numbers which are even or have 5 in their Unit position will not be included bcz they are divisible by 2 and 5 respectively. Now 201 is divisible by 3 i.e; 3x67=201 therefore 201,204,207, . . . ,297 will be eliminated. Hence, remaining numbers are 203,209,211,217,221,223,227,229,233,239,241,247,25 1,253,257,259,263,269,271,277,281,283,287,289,293, 299!

Also think more over pattern of above 26 numbers.

1) How many numbers b/w 200 and 300 are not divisible by 2, 3, or 5 ?

A) 24
B) 25
C) 26
D) 27

Answer is C)26

first find the numbers divisible separately by each of 2, 3 ,5 between 200 and 300 that is from 201 to 299.
numbers divisibly by 2 are 99/2 = 49, numbers divisible by 5 are 99/5 =19, the numbers divisible by 3 are 99/3 =33, then total of it will be 101.

But the numbers divisible by 2*5=10 are 9 which are included in both in the numbers divisible by 2 and 5, the numbers divisible by 3*5=15 are 6 included in both the numbers divisible by 3 and 5 and similarly the numbers divisible by 2*3=6 are 16 included in both numbers divisible by 2 and three so wee have to exclude these numbers from the total sothat his number becomes 101-9-6-16=70.

But we have also subtracted the numbers twice which were divisible by 2*3*5=30 which are 3 so adding them the total numbers between 200 and 300 divisible by 2,3,5 are 73.

Total numbers are 99 so the numbers not divisible by 2,3 or 5 are 99-73=26

As regards the second question your answer is right if I'm right.
