Exclamation Con-Fusions

Salaam,
Dear sir i m a bit confused abt the ans of Q No 5. According to my very limited knowledge of cars and internal combustion engines, the carburetor is nowadays replaced by the EFI system. These cars do not use a proper carburetor and for mixing petrol with air, it is the "Throttle Valve" which does the job. So I find my fingers crossed, when both of the options appear to be viable as a correct answer.

As far as i know EFI(Electronic Fuel Injection) is just like an intergral part of carburetor and allows the vehicels to ecnomize the fuel and nothing else................................so carburetor is the right answer

Default I dont think so

For ur kind information sir, EFI is a system, composed of many integral parts.
The old mechanical devices used to mix petrol with air and regulate its flow, were carburettors. Now this function is performed by EFI system, which not only enhances the fuel economy, but also the performance of the engines in terms of power output also. I dont know ur source of information, but if u really want to know about it, i can only refer a link to u mere bhai.

http://auto.howstuffworks.com/fuel-injection1.htm

Visit the link its useful in other aspects also.

Btw, u can call the EFI as an electronic carburetor.

Take care...

Good Point....
Mere bahi jaha say mein nay study kia dat shows same thing which i mentioned while u may be right because EFI is used in new cars and not in the old cars and not even i think in new ones brand like Suzuki alto....
well EFI is used in new cars like Honda city, Vti, Kia Sportage , BMW and etc and not in the cars like Toyota corolla 2.0d 1996 and 1997 model.

Still ur point is Good but In new cars.............
Waise both the answers are correct....i willl ask the writer of this quiz to change the question...........

AoA
In new cars, according to the question, the device which mixes the petrol (gas) with air is the EFI(Electronic Fuel Injection), there is no other device which is doing that job in the cars having EFI. EFI (Electronic Fuel Injector) is a device used to spray the fuel in the combustion chamber or the so called cylinder. To know more, we have EFI systems in the diesel technology also like in Prado 2001-02,....and some diesel powered generators like that of Mitsubishi, if not in corolla 2.od 96-97.
I would really like to know ur source of information in this regard because wht i find in this question is a total incoherence with the construct validity of the questionaire. Or if u really know the composer of the questionaire, then plz ask her/him tht Y yaar Y..? she/he has constructed a question like that !!.
Yaar bhai, plz let me know if possible, the source of ur information because now i doubt that i could be wronged, myself.

I shall be seriously thankful to u

Take care....
