Guys I have a serious question to ask for all those who are selected in PAS or PSP group in Grade BPS-17.

In term of perks , social benefits which one is better is better ?

1- Assistant Director ISI/FIA (BPS-17)

2- Asst Comm or ASP in PAS / PSP ?

Well it depends on whether you have all the jobs in hand. If you do, then it's definitely 2.
Reason: The jobs of a CSS officer are more diverse than ADs of FIA or ISI.

But, on the other hand they are hard to get which is why if you get selected as AD FIA/ISI go for it.

According to my view point based upon pragmatic reasons..

1. Assistant Superintendent of POLICE...Rapid promotion , Nice perks, More news sense value, Independent command, more cooperative seniors, social recognization, u can better help or support ur local community, wide range of authority, minimum u,ll retire in grade 21 or 20 as Adll, I.G or DIG...
2. Assistant Commissioner.....again major reasons are above mentioned, also includes that you would be part of policy making, independently commanding or supervising a certain area or district..protection for family, less risky
3.AD FIA....few above mentioned reasons, but a bit slow promotion as according to mu knowledge AD would take around 10 + years for next grade n you would never be a whole incharge or DG of the whole department as compare to IG or Chief Secretary or Federal Secretary....
4. AD ISI....yes its nice to be a part of such world famous organization and u,ll fell that u r doing something special, starting perks are more than other jobs......but there r few points...like...you cant introduce yourself openly, always remain as 2nd in command, never been an chief or DG of any of the respective wing of the department, again relatively slow promotion, many a times you,ll be superseded by other people who r on deputation, u,ll be many a times posted in far fetched ares of country where u cant take ur family, maximum u,ll be promoted to to grade 19 or a very few in 20....less facilities as compare to ASP or AC....

its my personal opinion others may differ...or endorse it... regards..
