What about career path. I have heard that research officer usually become senior research officer (BPS 18) that's it. I might elevated as branch manager within 1-2 years. In our bank BM is provided with Honda City with 150 Liters fuel and maintenance cost remains with bank. But more importantly career path is the thing. In bank you at least defined career path :-S

Bank specially bahl is knowns for its cheap and notorious customers..jitna headache om ko hota hai utna shiad he kisi ko ho if you have source in bahl then you can become BM otherwise ap itna jaldi kabhi bm nei bno gai..ap khud socho ap kitna kaam kartai ho i.e atm ke 24 ghantai tension, walt ke tension, customer azaab, uper se notorious reporting, eid pe branch ap jatai hongai roz ke closing roz karna..aur dosre jagah research department chill environment nthing to do except research..i have done work in research department..9 to 5 job aram se ghar wapis..aur ap ko raat ko mushkil se need aati hogi kai kal koe masla na hojae..government dept is far far better and little difference in salary..

Its permanent. On letter it is written temporary likely to be permanent.
