There is nothing like luck ,its just the matter of timing and coincidence.Have faith in your capabilities and ALLAH. "But those who have faith and work righteousness, they are companions of the Garden: Therein shall they abide (For ever). (The Noble Quran, 2:82).
Work hard and there is no doubt you will not succeed.

Hope i answered the question

Regards

Both have equal importance in human life. We can`t gainsay the involvement of luck in your life but painstaking concentration on it, perplex your course. It was an story in 9th stardard, which was related to a king and a spider endeavours. The spider tries to climb aloft the ceiling. He falls down and again tries to achieve his destination. The action was repeating simualtaneouly. After incalculable attempts, He finally acquire his willing ground. The epiloque comes from this story that hardwork can make anything possible. According to an adage, " Hardwork conquers all".

It is an endless topic. Person , who never puzzled by bad luck, denys the existence of luck but it really exists.

Take care,

well devils answer was probably under the influence of his/her nik lolz kidding well brother no one can defy luck there is a famous qoute
"Do compete with a man's work but dont compete with his luck"
wel as u said your self there are people who work very hard and that too for years and they dont qualify... isnt it? on the contrary we have alot of examples UMER SIDIQUE[9th position] 2005 batch ov Css is one of it he just took 20 days leave from college...
but yah! we would say INTELLECT does MATTER!
wots that in that case GOD gifted? so isnt that by luck? we didnt choose to become less or more sharp minded or intellectual for that reason... did we?
nah! so thats how it is
more over for instance some body has worked hard but cant win the mind/heart of examiner on the other hand one who has not worked that hard does so... than what.?
another example comes from aur college days when there were boys who used to go through selective syllbus yet luckily all those questions come some time on the other hand a boy covers the whole book leaving behind say for instance only one topic and "THAT" paticular topic make him loose his marks... what would we call that?

well i think, The vast majority of what we call “luck” is the result of vision and purpose, hard work and passion.
As saying goes, “The harder I work, the more luck I have.”

Successful people work hard to put themselves into a position where good fortune can find them.
All that success requires is a strong vision, hard work, being passionate about goals, building relationships, constantly seeking to improve, self discipline and taking smart risks. Beyond that, it’s simply luck.

I fully agree with the claim that there is no correlation between success and luck. ..... timings are important rather than luck.

AoA

so far as i experienced in life both hardwork and luck is important for the prosperity/success of people. A person may work very hard but he may be devoid of the thing simply because of hard luck...

twice in 2005 and 2006 i did'nt go the next stage of css i.e interview becuase of only 5 marks. it does seem strange that in two consecutive years by margin of 5 marks. in 2005 my agregate was 647 but 35 marks in english comprehension, while in 2006 my agregate was 595 but i was absent in forestry paper. i thought that the paper was at evening but it was at morning, it was indeed very strange experience for me. perhaps i was not suitable for css but i termed this thing 'luck.'

Hard work is key to success. but in my opinion the cutting edge over the other hard workers will only b possible through LUCK..
By hard work one can b successful but it is the combination of Luck with Hard work tht wuld make u extraordinary

Default both things are imp

once i read that HARDWORKERS ARE ALWAYS LUCKY,
but luck matters a lot, where is right place for you,ALLAH will pick you from anywhere and put you to that right place ,many hardworkers dont get a job which a poor(no resources) ,gets this with no hardwork
in a market ,if two brothers have set two shops ,same material, same decoration, everything is same but at the evening one gets more profit and one less, whats this ,this is luck
