Dear members, state is defined as a geographical unit recognized as sovereign internationally. According to the definition, is Pakistan a sovereign and independent state though the rain of drone attacks is going on and the IMF is dictating the country's economic policies?

yup in papers and in our thoughts Pakistan is a sovereign state but in reality its not independent. baggers can never be independent, very sorry to say. we have won independence many years ago but, indeed, we are still slaves of the lowest rank. our masters dictate us what and how to do. they kill us wherever and whenever they want.

Living in economic warfares often little fish gulped with full of eloquence.one can rightly justify machiavelli polity into economy and its subjugation to media industry.pakistan geo strategic location have record of warfares and warlogs now employ these tactics into Asia.Industry needs consumption and raw -forms.pakistan has abundancy of these but poor administration and blame to previous government is hotly argumented.

In fact one look pakistan region it has diapolor auro.
It suits for powers and ambition.pakistan as a poor economy can't sustained.and country on the risk of several aid-givers not able to make them happy.so foreign intervention step with privitization and foreign investment and free market policies.this created mal prctises ,corruption
and bla bla bla

There is dire difference between reality and assumptions. Pakistan is an independent and sovereign state with regards to definition, but a realistic outlook would expose that Pakistan is a dependent state and a colony. Pakistan does not have sovereignty over its decision making. Its Foreign Policy is guided by foreign masters. Pakistan's economic policies are dictated and governed by international economic institutions. There is supremacy of international law over Pakistan's state law. People do not have feeling of community. What else can determine the sovereignty of a nation?????

War on terrorism in Pakistan without the permission of Pakistani's authorities and conducting operation without even informing the government of Pakistan reflects no sovereignty at all. US has not the only ways to interference in internal affairs, there are many hidden forces and plans at work, which actually consolidate occupation of Pakistan.

Unfortunately due to bad governance and mismanagement today Pakistan is dependent on IMF and US.
Today pakistan have disccussions with IMF in washington. It is their turn whether they give Pakistan the next installment or not and if they give then on what terms..........
Pakistan have to accept all the terms as beggers can never be choosers.
uncontrolled drone attacks and we are unable to stop these bloody attacks.
Today US said that CIA will continue its working in Pakistan whether Pakistan has objections over it or not...
we are unable to make and independent foreign policy.
Then how can we say that Pakistan is an independent and soverign state?

Yes, Everyone acknowledges that Pakistan is no more a soveriegn state but has anybody tried to find out the reasons:
Reason is very simple we do not perform our duties faithfully. Everyone dumps blame on others. These politicians who are selling the country at throw away prices are taking advantage our apathy.
Lets pledge that we shall make efforts to perform our duties honestly and faithfully.There will plenty of hurdly when we start our honest effort but we will continue our efforts, does not matter how little that effort be.

Dear, pledges are made, but no implementation. Our country has become a hub of international conspiracies and every great game starts from here that jolts the basic roots of the nation such constitutionalism,governance and development.
If our country is not sovereign then we as a nation are .......... ?

My point was that everyone should make some effort to bring some good in our country. No person who has the current affair knowledge can refute your claim that we are part of Great Game, being located at geographically strategic location. But if we tend to strart that we are losers, we can not do anything then obviously we are dead. Yes we are facing critical situation but it demands that we don't lose heart. My view is that efforts never go unrewarded. Keep whatever good you/me can do . Even if we fail then we shall be able to say in fornt of Almight Allah that Allah we did our job.
