my friend received an email to take receive cash in pounds . and there is given link of interview in The Telegrph by persons who won lottery .
i do not think it is real but she is so anxious to know whether it is spam or not?
what is motive to send such mails

This is jut a stunt to snatch some money bu luring about the lottery.
When shown interest and preceded a step further they would demand some hundred pounds also. That is sort of Spam only or a trick to grab money by showing green gardens.

its a seducive Chikenary of electronic marketers to rip the email addresses and personal details. OR rob you of some money etc as we see on mobiles. they enthrall with a fabricated story and strip the listeners of some CARDS or direct load.

Now why do they rip the information person to person?
They sign contracts with advertising companies. Populate their lists and perform their promo tasks via sending emails.
Or
They have some websites which pay them per click. More people click the link more they would be paid.
This way they increase the traffic limit of their websites and make it attractive for investors (for their ads.)
or.
they have to generate fake customer ids in order to show their performance and client capacity to the investors.
or
They even can use your information for cyber crime......

It is certainly a fake email. They will ask your friend to pay some money so that they can deliver/transfer the amount to your friend's account etc. Why are they not deducting the amount as processing fee from that amount which they are claiming that your friend has won ? This question itself tells that it is fake. They basically earn some bucks by making greedy people fool.
