Hello!

Kindly help me to understand the Land division in Pakistan. Basically I want to know in sequence or Scale...like what is Muraba...and how many akers in it...how many canals in it what is kheet and what is peeli?

First of all, its not division of land, division can be into Province, Division, District, sub-districts,Tahsils or sub Tahsils etc.There shall be as many divisions, districts,sub-district in the province ,with such limits and such areas, as Government may ,by notification, direct.


Measurement of Land/Units Of Area


The following are the basic measurements of land used in Punjab

kARAM

1 Karam = 5.5 Feet

MARALA

1 Marla = 9 Square Karams
1 Marla= 272 Square Feet

Kanals

1 Kanal =20 Marlas
1 Kanal = 5,445 Square ft
1 Kanal= 505.857 Square Meters
1 Kanal=1/8 acre
1 Kanal= 605 Square Yards(Gaz in local language)
1 Kanal=12 Biswas =

Biswa

1 Biswa = 1125 sq. Feet
1 Biswa=15 Sq karams

Beegha

1 Beegha = 20 Biswa
1 Beegha = 22500 sq. Feet
1 Beegha= 209 Acre
1 Beegha =1008 Sq Yards
1 Beegha = 842.68 Sq Meters

Acre/keela/killa(Acre is also called Quilla or Ghumaon)

1 Keela= 1 Acre
1 Acre = 40x36 Karam
1 Acre = 4,046.856 Square Meters
1 Acre=43,560 Square Feet.
1 Acre=198 feet x 220 feet
1 Acre = 160 Marls
1 Acre =8 Kanals
1 Acre = 4 Beegha+ 16 Biswas (20th part)
1 Acre = 4 and 4/5 Beegha
1 Acre = 96 Biswas.


Marabba

1 Marabba = 25 Acres/Keela
1 Marabba=1,089,000 sq ft
1 Marabba = 25 Killas
1 Marabba=25 Acres ,



1 Beegha = 4 Kanal

Hectare

1 Hectare = 2.47 Acre

Lat
1 Lat = 15 Acre
