Major Problem of Sindh

I spent initial 20 years of my life in interior Sindh. I noticed one thing which I would like to discuss here on this forum. Everyone must be aware that In interior Sindh Copy culture is common. In Matriculation, Intermediate and even in University examinations copy culture is prevailed.

It can be eradicated easily but feudals in Sindh want it to continue, because they want to keep the students of Sindh purposely uneducated. They know very well that educated students will ask their rights. Thousands of students, having Bachelor and Masters Degrees are unable to get any job due to knowledgeless degrees.

Students are taught in Schools, Colleges and Universities that federal government only give jobs to the students of Punjab or Punjabi Students. Therefore, almost 99% sindhis, living in Sindh, hate Punjab and Pujabi students. In Sindh, Mehran, Liaquat, Shah Abullatif University students of Political parties abuse Punjabi and Urdu speaking Students.

Not only uneducated and those students who are unable to get Jobs are extremely against Punjab and Punjabis but Sindhi speaking CSPs have also same kind of opinion.

I was of the opinion that since CSPs and other highly educated students must know the reality. And they must not be against other provinces. But here in Sindh every child is taught that Pujab and Pujabis are confiscating their rights. I do not know that why educated students (educated means those who have completed their education from abroad or outside of sindh) do not understand the game of feudals and politicians living in Sindh. People living in Sindh are theirselves responsible for their worst condition. If they are unable to get job due to lack of talent they, then must polish their talent. But what they do that they start blaming Punjab and Punjabis.

Kalabagh Dam is one of the examples of worst politics of Sindh. Politicans have made people of Sindh fool by saying that Punjab would like to use the water of Sindh. Therefore, they will not let this Dam build. Had this dam built in 2008, people of sindh would not have faced flood in 2010 and 2011 respectively. Thousands of people were compelled to leave their homes. In 2012 too flood will create problem. But still they are loyal to their corrupt and ruthless politicians and still they are against Punjab. It is only because of lack of education which has made them blind. They are unable to judge the reality.

Similar is the case of Karachi. Here in Karachi, Urdu speaking students are against Sindhi speaking students. They consider that Sindhis are responsible for their bad condition. 80% Urdu speaking students are of the opinion that they can not get any Government Job in Sindh as well as Federal without the approval of Sindhi Ministers. Even if any urdu speaking student is talented he does not appear in CSS Examination because he thinks that he can never get this job without sifarish.

In Interior Sindh , PPP, Jiye Sindh and other Qoumparast parties are responsible for the worst condition of Sindh. And in Karachi MQM is spreading haterd among people. MQM is completely responsible for the worst condition of Karachi.

Kindly think about it sincerely and then give your comments regarding above problem and what you suggest in this regard.

Dear you don't know the ground realities and you have just posted your thinking. In many cases this is not so. You can refer reports of Question/Answers sections at Senate of Pakistan website where govt admits that the quota of sindh has been violated since very long talent is not the case here. Copy culture exists not only in interior sindh but in urban areas and other provinces as well. Before discussing Kalabagh issue you must know about chashma-jehlum link canals which were flood canals but remain opened throughout year. People from urban areas are being appointed on their exact quota as their representatives donot tolerate this issue.

I do not belong to Punjab but my common sense says that Population and area of Punjab is much larger than that of Sindh. Therefore, if more students from Punjab are getting jobs then it is their right as per the population and education level of Punjab which is extremely better than that of sindh.

Moreover, I can not believe on any question and answer session of senate of current government. Current politicians are same feudals about which I have discussed earlier. What they did for Sindh and what they gave to sindh ? Illiteracy ? Hunger ? Displacement ? Poverty ? .

If I accept your statement that Punjab wanted to use the water of Sindh via Kalabghdam. Then, do you think it is better than flood situation every year due to which hundreds of people lost their lives.

Do you know that current electricity crisis is only because Political parties did not allow to build this dam. And insincere politicians also did not take any other step in this regard. Do you know that in urban cities of Punjab duration of load shedding was 18-20 hours however, in urban cities of sindh it was merely 2-3 hours. Only in those areas of Sindh duration of loadsheding was 8-10 hours where people were stealing electricity. However, when i visited Punjab I did not find electricity stealers. Dont you think that it is discrimination ? They are not sealing electricity but even they aresuffering. Do you know that how many thousands of people lost their Jobs in Punjab due this electricity crisis when several factories stopped working ?

I request you and all other members to please be sincere while writing your comments. I just want to awake and tell the educated class of Sindh that major problem of Sindh are corrupt politicians.

Ofcourse the major and cardinal problem with Sindh is corrupt politicians and Feudal lot, but there is a particular mindset present in Establishment whose attitude towards common Sindhis is biased and disgraceful; that mindset adds fuel to the rage and distrust Sindhis have in their minds against big brother . The holders of that mindset in Establishment still follow colonial British racial descriptions which categorize Sindhis as non-martial and highly unreliable race.

There might be few people but not all. And such kind of few people are available in every nation not only Punjabis and in Punjab. Moreover, should we not focus on our strength instead of blaming others ? We have been taught from very first day that Punjab and Punjabis are our enemy. Had we been taught the path of success which is obviously advancement in education, we had never seen such problems. And those all were feudals who tught us in order to fulfil their vested interests. They all were the followers of policy of Divide and Rule.

We have not been taught that punjabis are our enemies , but that the federal prejudices in past were unjustified . And universities my friend , do not indoctrinate these ideas , it is the national conciousness coupled with the greed for power of some men that gives birth to these separatist sentiments . Generalization to such an extent , is perhaps injustice . Although the ethnic prejudices in the minds of us Sindhis are now very rare , one must never fail to understand the fact these quom parast agwarns (leaders) , when they emerged on the scene , were given solid reasons to do so . Sindh has unfortunately been one of the two provinces that has been pitched against the federal since 1948 , the other being balochistan .An enforced Pakistani nationalism , that seeks to vilify the cultural-historical-linguistic identities of men that have inhibited this land for so long , is perhaps one that is considered unjustified by this ethnicity. Mujib was indeed labeled a separatist demagogue initially , but the man had his reasons and that won him some support back at home , actually a great deal of it . So ethnic polarisation is not neccesarily caused by ignorant dogmas . Hence we must not crush it militarily , but instead celebrate the diversity that this land has to offer . It is happening since the inception of this world. Our Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) also passed through these difficulties. But he did not leave preaching. There was no Punjab or Punjabis at that time. For God sake think about it. It is a game of the enemies of our religion (U.S.A, India and Isreal). They are extremely against Islam and how they could bear a Muslim Nuclear state. Therefore, they have started this policy of divide and rule. They have made feudals part of this policy.

You must be talking about Bhutto, let me tell you that Bhutto was also killed by the conspiracies of enemies of Islam and Anti-Pakistan. Bhutto, himself was against Anti-Pakistan states and he was the first brave person who talked against USA's hegemony in UNO. He also started nuclear program of Pakistan. Therefore, Anti –Pakistan states punished him with the conspiracies of our own brothers.

We have to eliminate bad elements (Bad Feudals)from us.

Ghalat sirf who hain jo Islam dushmanoon aor Pakistan dushmanon k sath mil kar hamain larrwany ki saazish kar rahy hain. Chahy who Sindh main hon, Balochistan main ho, NWFP main hon ya Punjab main hoon. I do not say that there are no problems in Punjab. In Pujab also Sharif Brotheran has made people fool.

Do you think that current criticism of PML (N) and PPP is real. You are realy fool if you think that it is real. They all are same, my brother. They are making us fool via this criticism. If PML (N)’s criticism was real then they would have not let this corrupt government run.

Zardari, Nawaz, Altaf, Asfandyar, Shujaat, Molana Fazlurehman, they all and their party members in Parliament are working on common agenda of USA, ISREAL AND INDIA. It is the reason that they have done nothing except damaging Pakistan and Pakistanis. I can not say anything at this time about Imran Khan. We will see his real face in power. If he is sincere, he will then work for the betterment of our country.

Yes,I know that ANP which is Anti-pakistan party is also against it. But, if our leadership was sincere they could easily make it possible. So, as I earlier said, feudals of any province are responsible. Since, I am from Sindh therefore, I have to correct my own home first.

Allah Almighty says in the Holy Quran:

The believers are but brothers, so make settlement between your brothers. And fear Allah that you may receive mercy. (Surah-tul-Hujrat, verse 10).


You said that my this thread would further increase hatred. But I believe that it will InshAllah make able educated persons to think about it. Education teaches us that how we can differentiate between right and wrong, it gives us light to see the things clearly. It does not teach us hatred.
We are Muslim first and then we are Pakistani, Sindhi, Punjabi, Pathan, Balochi and Mahajir etc. So, my brother, I would urge you not to pay attention to what you have been told. But start searching yourself that what is right.

Being a Muslim and an educated person, it is our responsibility to make our other Sindhi brothers aware that we all (Muslims) are brothers. We have to disseminate a message of peace and love instead of hatred and division.
