Dear Seniors,

i am here because almost all forum members are well educated and knows complications of education departments.

i have completed my MA Economics from Sargodha university this year 2012 with 1st Div and also have 1st div in Matric and FSC.

Back in 2008 i appeared in BSC Economics exams from Punjab university and unfortunately due to some medical issues i got 3rd div in BSC. That time i was unaware about the future impacts of 3rd div and i didn't bother it and continue my Masters degree.

but now i realized that 3rd Div tag really destroyed my future in education or professional life every well reputed university refused my admission of Mphil Economics due to 3rd Div in BSC.

were ever i apply for a good job my name dropped down from merit list due to 3rd Div in BSC.

i contacted Controller examination of Punjab University and he told me that i have no any option now even i can not repeat of can not do Graduation in different subjects.

almost every university imposed age limit of 22 or 24 for enrollment in Graduation as Regular as well as private candidate.

please suggest me what can i do to remove impacts of 3rd Div from my carrier?

This is one thing I hate about Pakistani education and job system, i.e. pre-shortlisting on basis of grades. Sadly; you are in trouble dear, this 3rd division will always haunt you. I don't know why is this system here. When tests are taken to assess someone's aptitude and qualities anyways, why pre-disqualify on basis of grades and divisions. I think we should raise voice on this. There should be a pattern where marks or grades obtained in prior degree exams make part of overall test scores so that someone who has low scores in BSc or intermediate or any prior studies may work hard to adjust scores, but no one should have their life and career halted based on poor performance in prior studies.

sadly, 3rd division is not allowed,according to criteria implemented by HEC.Only one 2nd division is allowed in the entire academics, but should not be in Master degree.

I agreed with you sir and ready to raise my voice to but definitely alone i can not change the systems as whole. i definitely need support and guidance of seniors and also support of there students facing the same problem.

should i write to Cheif Minister, and Cheif Justice that future of Pakistan (Youth) also need a Somoto action by you. Pakistani Laws can forgive politicians in corruptions cases (e.g Rehman Malik) Pakistani laws can forgive Murderers (e.g Raman Davise) Pakistan laws can forgive Indian intelligence agents.

But Pakistani laws have no any flexibility for Pakistani teenagers on their single and very minor negligence committed in age of minor.

HEC and other Govt & Private departments and organization should keep the rule of no 3rd Div but educational institutions should not stop any candidate to improve Div. otherwise universities should not consider 3rd Div as pass candidate they should consider it as Failed student. and ask the student to appear again.

System ko aise hona chahiye jis main hard work ke zariye banda apni purani mistakes ko sudhar sakey. matlab agar aap kaheen pe job yaa education ke liye apply karte hain to aap kaa multi stage (written interview etc) test hota hai aur us test kaa cummulative socre banta hai aur us kee bunyad pe aap kee merit banti hai. prior education kaa score us score main adjust kia jaaye to is se banda apni mistake sahi kar sakta hai; maslan jaise kaheen selection ke liye jo test hote hain un main 40% weightage written test kee marks kaa hota hai aur 60% interview kee marks kaa hota hai, is score main prior education ke grade kee weightage bhi add ho sakti hai, jaise 40% written, 40% interview aur 20% BSc. is se jis bande kee 3rd division hogi us ko written aur interview ke liye tohri ziada mehnat karni pare gee magar us kaa career halt nahin ho jaaye gaa jaise aaj kal ho jaata hai jab aap 3rd division ko disqualify kar ke us kaa raasta hee band kar dete ho.

That is what I am advising . agar aap ko sirif first class students chahiyen to aap phir extensive selection test kiyun lete ho, woh na lo phir, pehle se hee short listing kar lo phir personality interview le ke banda select kar lo. life ke har stage pe apne citizens ke liye itni mushkilat khari karna munasib nahin hai, is se buhut saare social problems paida hote hain.... write letters on these lines

another serious issue i observed this year universities defined age limit for Graduation applicants Regular and Private both.

with above condition only fresh candidate condition is also applied .

after applying these conditions literacy and unemployment rate will also increase in society as whole.

yes I agree with you... aik to pakistan pehle hee peeche hai aur dusra yahan pe aik makhsoos age group ke liye darwaza khula rakhte hain... aur woh age group aisa hai jis main biologically insan apne mahol ko samajh raha hota hai aur us main insan se ghalti bhi ho sakti hai yaa negligence bhi, magar phir yahan pe phir us ke liye civilized life guzarne ke tamam darwaaze band kar diye jaate hain. phir woh chahe crime kare chahe suicide kare chahe kuch bhi kare. phir shor sab machate hain kia ho gaya hai logun ko

Personally I find it utterly disgraceful that you make life for your citizens that much narrow and limited. You should have realization that humans can make mistakes, particularly young people who are in a learning phase of their life and not that much mature, and realize later, doors for improvement should always remain open .
