Regards,
Superbly put, knowledge is invariably purposeful. The moment we absorb knowledge is the moment it comes into action. It may not fulfil or at instances be directed towards the goal we want to achieve, which is another thing, but automatically as we absorb knowledge it changes our view about looking at the world within its parameter and thus fulfilling its own purpose/goal.Our goal achieved or not or whether we have perceived the accomplishment of a goal,of any type,is a separate issue.

The main thing to establish here is what a goal is in our view.Otherwise knowledge when taken as knowledge and not skill is fulfilling a goal within us as it is becoming our part.

When a person learn something, then he/she intentionally or unintentionally brings this "newly learnt lesson" into practice. For instance, if you have learnt about the human digestive system, then in case of some digestive problem, you could identify easily what is going wrong. Like when you feel "heartburn" it may be due to acidity and to avoid this unfavorable circumstances you will keep yourself away of acidity producing food items...

By the way, I am research scholar and have research thesis on "learning". and according to literature every type of learning has its own practical implications...

"Dolphin sleeps with one eye open". Tell me how should I practice it or what is its practical implication for me?

I think knowledge has no boundary.

We need to distinguish between knowledge and qualification ( degree ) here....

Qualification is training or a set of skills , to earn money, working in a certain profession .

Knowledge is informal where as qualification is formal. Knowledge is what you know and qualification is what you have been taught...

I think knowledge is far superior thing to qualification.

Let me rephrase this topic.

It should be: Life without goals is a waste.

Knowledge is a power & the more power you have, the greater prestige you enjoy.

Default Knowledge

In my opinion the console of goals is fabricated by the accumulation of knowledge. With the continuous accumulation of knowledge our goals stand reshaped.

I am an MBA and also doing job on that basis but currently studying English literature with no particular goal but when I read material on "Differences & Similarities Of Britain and American English", many of my confusions were clarified like I used to write "Flavour" in MS Word and Word used to point out spell mistake but now I realized that I wasn't mistaken but it was Word dictionary that is using some what different course of English.

So i think knowledge is not mere a wastage both for male and female.

I suggest you to try it. It may be an "attentive sleep" to keep yourself safe of thieves...
