After doing PIPFA we will be eligible for departmental promotion and will be promoted direct to grade 17. It means we can have promotion in the span of 4 years if we do PIPFA otherwise we will get promoted to grade 17 in 10 years. I have heard the job is not that much difficult we can enjoy plenty of leisure.
my dear never ever even think about to join dy account after leaving bank.the salary package you would initially get would be round about 15k.it is clerical type job with no authority or even prestige.i am an auditor in local fund audit in bs 14 we have same working as of district accounts officer and working of auditor in DAO is similar with our deptt.i also appeared in dy accountant test and cleared as well but did not appear in the viva because i know what worth dy accountants have.i am not degrading the job but i am comparing it with MTO as i also have an experience of three years working in bank alfalah and after getting this job of auditor i left bank four years ago but now i am regretting upon my step.it is pertinent to mention here that status of auditor in local fund audit is much much much better than that of accountant in DAO thats why i did not even to go for viva.it is right that after doing pipfa you would be promoted as deputy district accounts officers after about 5 years but let me tell you that DDAO also have no authority.ddao is just a bridge between district accounts officer and deputy accountant or auditor in DAO as the case may be.yes the post of DAO is quite valuable and prestigeous post but it will take your 15 years at least to reach to that post.yes you can do corruption and can earn more than you earn in bank but in the form of 500 per case which is very very humiliating for an mto.office condition in daos are very dirty than in banks .you would not have air conditioner or even room cooler.so my dear continue your profession as a banker

In Govt job as you know, k you can easily improve your qualification. you can go for CSS.
ABL main MTOs ki jitni saturation ho chuki hai, its not confirm k 3 saal baad apko MG-10 kr dain gay.. ,MG11 = 16 scale govt officer.
if you go for PIPFA, MAX 4 years main you will be at 17 Grade.
mental peace hai.. you can give time to your family.
bank main bs glamour hai...
agr bank sy niklna hai to yahi time hai..
I made a blunder in my life, apki tarah main bhi MTO ki training py tha aur mujhe job offer hoi thi University of Health sciences sy 16 scale ki but i didnt join bas bank k glamour ki waja sy..
but now I repent. ab nikalna chahta hun but opportunity nahi mil rhi.
if you wanna improve your qualification and importantly CSS, then go for govt job, and if you think you are done with your education than go for banking.

and 1 important thing, every person has his/her own luck, his /her own circu, stances so what was or is good for me, may not be good for you and vice versa.
remaining I wish you all the best, Allah aasaaniyaan paida kary hum sab k liye. aameen.
1st of all i would like to say thank you so much for your suggestion its really help me to decide.i got this job (DEPUTY ACCOUNTANT(BS-14)) through PCS and i am also planing to go for css.so i think govt job may be right decision for me :-)
i just want to ask you one question more no doubt bankers profession is respectable in our society but most of the time people say it is haram earning while bankers say they put hard work then earn so its not haram. what do you say how it is haram?

here is the meaning of a hadith, which changed my mind, so sharing with you,
From Jabir , (Allah be pleased with him) : the prophet PBUH cursed the receiver and payer of riba(sood in urdu) , the one who records it and the two witnesses to the transaction and said; "They are all alike (in guilt)" (Tirmizi)
means sood lainy wala, sood deny wala, sood ki transaction ko record krny wala aur sood ki transaction ka gawah sb ek hain... (aur sood khaany waly k liye dard naak azaab ki waeed hai ye to hum sb jaanty hain)
I've shared just one Hadith E Mubarika with you. there are alot many aya e mubarika , preventing from business of riba e.g; (3:130, 30:39, 1:161, 2:276, 2:278)
I personally beleive the income from this job is haram. even i discussed with all my seniors and they said k yes but they all give one argument " hum to islamic state main rehty hain aur ye state ki zimadaari hai k halal nokri faraham kary aur hum apna kaam mehnat sy krty hain aur usky paisy laity hain, Allah jaanta hai k hum mehnat k paisy laity hain aur Allah bakshny wala hai"
they may be right in their argument but i want to play safe, suppose 99% Allah maaf kr dy ga but at the Doom's day, 1% chance ye b to hai k Allah maaf na kary, so kia ho ga? matalab saari zindagi bekaar gai na?
this is my point of veiw, many people agree and alot disagree with me.
I usually don't suggest anyone coz I am also doing this job, but as you, have an option t, so thats why giving you this advice.
If you have decided to join this govt job then i suggest you to immediately start preparing for CSS.
I wish you all the best and i request you to pray for me as well that i may get rid of this job and go for CSS, my ultimate dream.

timings, as compare to bank are not very much hectic as it is 8am to 3 pm job but you will not be forced to obey the timings in letter and spirit.one and enjoy a lot if he has good relations with his boss.increament will be 610 rupees per year as on 1st of every december plus as govt announces in every budget upto 10 to 20 percent which would be1 to 2 thousand only.

Timings are mostly reasonable. The bulk of work is mostly in the month of June due to budget. It is indeed far more less hectic than Banks. The increment you are quoting is only on basic pay. In Government sector allowances are largely more than basic salary. One can enjoy increments in terms of allowances plus basic salary. Moreover if you are a CSS aspirant you will enjoy age relaxation for government employees as well.
