Give your opinion!
I was browsing Google when I came across a strange but wonderful saying by Maulana Rumi. It was either so fascinating & thought-provoking or was out of reach of my thinking bound by chains of limitation that I, for a while, thought Maulana Sahib might have been madly in love with a women in whose praise perhaps, he wrote the following words. It is also possible that he might have found that glance in women that he compared the vision of God with that of a lass. I also feared " If any orthodox read this statement, he would surely issue Fatwa against Maulana"
Anyhow, this is what we think, but Rumi being the vast ocean of knowledge, thought otherwise. The statement is: "God is never seen immaterially; and the vision of Him in [a] woman is the most perfect of all." What would you say??? |

According to my limited knowledge, Maulana Rumi believed in the doctrine of Wahdat ul Wajood (Unity of Existence), according to which there is a reflection of the Creator in all His Creations. Rumi's beloved was God, whose reflection he sees in all beings, perhaps in a woman too.
