Aslm-o-Alikum,

I am MBA finance, you people are requested to suggest me which is better option? keeping in view the job market bec i am jobless after doing MBA finance with 3.51 CGPA

1. Going to dubai for job searching
2. Doing M.phil
3. Doing CA/ACMA

If you are a fresh graduate, than Dubai is not a good idea for now, attain bit relevant experience here then visit Dubai, sharing my personnel experience..

Exclude option 1 . Then there are 2 options remaining . And see if you want to get a job in foreign country , then you can take admission on scholarshipm in any foreign institution and after this search for a job . In this way you will be at safe side . Best of luck .

if you have interest in teaching field. Go for M.Phil and then PHD after that. You can obtain scholarship for PHD. If you don't want to go for teaching career. Then you should take admission in CA / ACMA. During internship u can get handsome stipend and can continue your studies. Further u can have some exemption on account of having MBA degree regarding admission in CA / ICMA.

If you have got some money to spend then taking a risk of going to UAE can be adventurous as well as fruitful.

A lot of people,i know,going with a hope of finding a job in dubai have returned disappointed either because they were unable to find a job or because of not getting a job of their standard.

However that does not mean that there are no chances of success at all.One of my friend,just like you,went there and got a job recently but in a completely different field as yours.Another friend,an ACCA, got a job offer,according to him,of PKR 150000 but he refused it as he was looking for more.

So,in short going to dubai in hope of finding a job is a gamble.


Brother,it is not my style to discourage anyone from doing anything but think hard before entering into C.A at this stage however your life your decision.

Unfortunately i dont know much about the job market and prospects for M.phil in Pakistan.

please explain why? Actually i have done m.sc in physics and i am jobless i can go for m.phil but i have been wanting to go for ca because job prospects are better. also if i do m.phil and then phd it is going to take same time as ca. please advise.

Because on average C.A takes more than 6 and a half years to be completed if not more.If you have this much time then go for it and do also bear in mind that many people leave C.A in frustration after not getting through in several attempts.And furthermore job market is not as lurcative for C.A 's as it used to be but still its a good qualification if you manage to achieve it and prospects are always very bright for a talented Chartered Accountant.

My only concern was that you have already done a masters so sometimes it becomes very difficult for people to continue studies after a certain age and without break like going for work experience for some years etc.But if you have the energy than anything is possible.But still seek advise from students who are currently doing C.A and the ones who have already done it and then take a decision keeping in consideration your personal circumstances.That is the best i can say in case of C.A.

I left C.A after intermediate stage.
