Odesk is really popular these days. I'm also interested in free lancing. One of my cousin in law is making money through odesk. There is alot other websites for E-lancing. Once you are in and you have experience you can make a handsome amount. Thanks to all for sharing tips and tricks. More will be appreciated.

My profile on Odesk is 100% done, After reading Freelancer Manual I have taken Odeak Readiness Test, I have also passed some other tests of English Language. And yesterday I have bid for jobs for the first time. I don't know whether I will be selected for job or not?

Tell me whats the importance of overview, whenever I used to read about it, I change it, But I have seen profiles of some other freelancers they have just copy paste overviews but they have done jobs and still getting work,
and secondly one of the tests I took on Odesk has below average marks, then what should I do, Is it right to keep it on my profile?

In Overview, you have to present yourself like your qualification, abilities, and obviously your experience, etc. You can say that it is like a cover letter. Frankly speaking, my overview is pathetic I just add the required info to complete my profile. I did not pay heed to overview, but it is important.
As far as tests are concerned, I have taken three tests (2 English one stats) in first attempt with below average. I have quota of 15 jobs. IN some cases or jobs, you need to get good score in tests and above 4.5 feedback but not in all cases. You can improve your averages in tests, but for that you have to wait 30 days to reattempt the same test.
It is your qualifications and skills which matter a lot. I would like to suggest you to work for the students for instance, assignment writing, research paper and report writing for students.

what is payment method?

Can we change our profile again once it is completed e.g:one has select finance and later on he want to chose marketing the it is possible or not

I don't know much about the payment method and all this stuff, but I have chosen Skrill as payment method just by the way, once there is some job and any payment only then I guess we will have an idea of different payment methods

After taking Odesk Readiness test my job quota was increased to 25, then I applied for 5 jobs, but today when I was trying to applied for a job I was surprised to see that the job quota is 0 again.
