وقت نکلا جائے ہے تدبیر سے
اب گلہ ہو بھی تو کیا تقدیر سے


خون کب تک زخم سے جاری رہے
لوگ مرہم رکھ چکے شمشیر سے



خواب دیکھوں میں بہار شوق کا
مت مچا تو شور اب زنجیر سے


زخم رہتے ہیں ہرے دل کے یہاں
لطف کیا ہو شوخیِ تحریر سے



سب تمنائیں ہوئیں اب نورؔ ختم
مت ڈرا ہمدم مجھے تقدیر سے
