Mohabbat ki rangeeniyaan chor aaye,
Tere shehar main ek jahaan chor Aaye.

Pahaadon ki woh mast-o-shadaab waadi,
Jahan hum dil-e-naghma khawan chor aaye.

Woh sabza woh dariya woh peron ke saaye,
Woh geeton bhari bastiyaan chor aaye.

Haseen panghaton ka woh chaandi sa paani,
Woh barkha ki rut woh saamaan chor aaye.

Bahut se mile humsafar raste mein,
Nahin yaad kis ko kahan chor aaye.

Bahut door hum aa gaye uss gali se,
Bahut door woh aastaan chor aaye.

Bahut meharbaan thi woh gul-posh raahen,
Magar hum unhen meharbaan chor aaye.

Bhagolon ki soorat yahan phir rahe hain,
Nasheman sar-e-gulistaan chor aaye.

Ye aijaz hai husn-e-aawaargi ka,
Jahan bhi gaye daastaan chor aaye.

Chale aaye un rahguzaaron se ‘jalib
Magar hum wahan qalb-o-jaan chor aaye. !!
