yuu.N to har shaam ummiido.n me.n guzar jaatii thii
aaj kuchh baat hai jo shaam pe ronaa aayaa

kabhii taqdiir kaa maatam kabhii duniyaaa kaa gilaa
manzil-e-ishq me.n har gaam pe ronaa aayaa

jab huaa zikr zamaane me.n mohabbat kaa 'Shakeel'
mujh ko apne dil-e-naakaam pe ronaa aayaa
