sunehre khwabon ki rehguzar per
udas lamhon ko khojti hai
na jane in mein kia dhondti hai
khoi khoi ankhon mein kuch khoye khoye khab sajaye
uljhi uljhi sochon ke taney baney suljhati jaye

na soch apni na khwab apne
hain tou bas hain azab apne
na subhein apni na shamein apni
agar hain apni tou kuch yadein apni
nahi!
ye yadein bhi tou hain kisi ki

hai chalte chalte teher gai wo
najane kiyon hai machal gai wo
aik badal dhuan dhuan sa
kehin se aker teher gya tha
dhuan jo her su bikher gya tha
wo sari subhein wo sari shamein
wo sare sapne wo sari sochein
wo sari yadein wo sari batein
dhuein mein jazb hoker azad fizaon mein kehin kho chuki thein
aor wo sunder udas leRki
apni jheel si ankhon mein nanhe nanhe deep jalaye
ab chup chup gum sum rehti hai ......
