Meri jalti hui aankhon ke be-ta'abeer ye khwab
Dil ke qirtaas pe dukh se huay tehreer ye khwab

Piar, khushbu o dhanak, jugnu o saahil, main, tum
Ek andekhi si dunia ki hain tasveer ye khwab

Ye ilm tha ke kabhi such nahin ho paaen ge
Haan magar phir bhi mujhe kar gae taskheer ye khwab

Kis tarha aur koi raah ikhtiyar karun
Parre hain paaon mein ban kar koi zanjeer ye khwaab

Main in ka rabt in aankhon se khatm to kar doon
Hain meri rooh magar kar gaye aseer ye khwab

Tum ko paana hai muqaddar,na hai qismat,na naseeb
Aur phir uss pe in ankhon ke be-tauqeer ye khwab

Wo aur loag hain jin ko mili hain taabeerein
Apni qismat mein raqam, apni hain taqdeer ye khwab
