(منقبت بہ حضور امام زین العابدین (ع

زندگی سجدوں ہی سجدوں میں بسر ہوتی ہے
شام عابد کی یونہی یوں ہی سحر ہوتی ہے

نور کو قید میں کیا روکیں گے ظلمت کے امیں
روشنی رکتی نہیں محوِ سفر ہوتی ہے

وقت کے ساتھ وسعت پاتا ہے قصرِ ایماں
کفر کی پختہ حویلی تو کھنڈر ہوتی ہے

وہی بن سکتا ہے موقع پہ *فرز دق جسکو
منصبِ آلِ محّمد کی خبر ہوتی ہے

طوق و زنجیر سے کیا روکو گے فتحِ عابد
جنگ افکار کی حرمت سے بھی سر ہوتی ہے

تو بھی سجد ے میں کبھی ویسے ہی **تھرّا شارب
بندگی تیری جو عابد کی ڈگر ہوتی ہے

* Very famous incident of Arabian litt.,when during the haj the crown prince
Hisham of bani ummayyid could not perform "tawaf e kaaba" due to heavy crowd, however, as soon as ImamZainul Abideen came ,the same crowd gave way to him for tawaaf. Someone close to Hisham asked " who is this gentleman ?"
Hisham knowing fully well replied "I do not know".
This triggered his own court poet " farazdaq"to react and write a poetry in praise of Imam ZainulAbideen in which he told who is Imam ZainulAbideen

** Imam ZainulAbideen used to shiver during hi prayers though he was so pious.
