taare aksar Duub chale the, raat ke rone vaalo.n ko
aane lagii thii nii.nd sii kuchh, duniyaa me.n saveraa hotaa thaa

tark-e-muhabbat karane vaalo kaun aisaa jag jiit liyaa
ishq ke pahale ke din socho kaun ba.Daa sukh hotaa thaa

us ke aa.Nsuu kis ne dekhe us kii aahe.n kis ne sunii.n
chaman chaman thaa husn bhii lekin dariyaa dariyaa rotaa thaa

pichhalaa pahar thaa hijr kii shab kaa, jaagataa rab sotaa i.nsaan
