Khushii jahaa.N kii mere vaaste pahelii thii

vo aaj bach ke nikalate hai.n mere saaye se
ki mai.n ne jin ke liye Gam kii dhuup jhelii thii

judaa hu_ii na kabhii mujh se gardish-e-dauraa.N
merii hayaat kii bachapan se ye sahelii thii

cha.Dhaa rahe hai.n vo hii aaj aastii.n mujh par
ki jin kii piiTh pe kal tak merii hathelii thii

ab un kii qabr pe jalataa nahii.n diyaa ko_ii
ki jin kii dahar me.n roshan bahut havelii thii

vo jhuk ke phir merii turbat pe kar rahe hai.n salaam
isii adaa ne to "M" kii jaan le lii thii
