Udas dil ki udas batain,
Samajhnay wala koi to hota,
K jis ki baton say dil sambhalta,
K jis ki sangat mein dil behalta,
K jis ki halki si ek jhalak bhi,
Hamaray dukh ko samait deti,
Falak say khushian undail deti,
Ya uski nazuk ki muskurahat,
Hamaray din ki sabhi thakawat ko door karti,
Ya phir chamakti wo ankhain uski,
Hamari hasti ka raaz hota,
Hamaray dukh ki kitaab hota,
Jo hamko chahta, jo hamko parhta,
Guzartay lamhon ki sakhtion mein,
Koi to Nazuk Mizaaj hota,
