Dil ko kahan naseeb ye taufiq-e-iztirab

Josh-e-junun main dard ki tugyaniyon k sath
Ashkon main dhal gai teri surat kabhi kabhi

Teray qareeb reh k bhi dil mutmain na tha
Guzri hai mujh pe bhi ye qayamat kabhi kabhi

Kuch apna hosh tha na tumhara khayal tha
Yun bhi guzar gai shab-e-furqat kabhi kabhi

Ay dost hum ne tark-e-muhabbat k bawajud
Mahsus ki hy teri zarurat kabhi kabhi
