dil ajab gumbad k jis main ik kabutar bhi nahin
itna viran to murdaron ka muqaddar bhi nahin

Dabati jati hain mitti main badan ki kashtiyan
dekhane main ye zamin koi samandar bhi nahin

jitne hangame the sukhi tahaniyon se jhar gaye
per par phal bhi nahin angan main patthar bhi nahin

Khushk tahani par parinda hai ki patta hai ‘Adeem’
ashiyana bhi nahin jis ka koi par bhi nahin

jitni pyari hain meri dharati jo zanjirain ‘Adeem’
itana pyara to kisi dulhan ko zevar bhi nahin
