Tujhe dhoondti rahi chashm-e-tar, tera nam wird-e-zuban raha,
na harum ka mujhko khayal tha, na sanam'kaday ka guman raha,

Teri chashm-e-naz ka may'kada mujhe be'nayaz sa kar gaya,
na shaoor-e-kon-o-makan raha, na khayal-e-sood-o-zayan raha,

kaday waqt mein jo mein ghir gaya, teri yaad hi bani mojza,
shab-e-hijr mein bhi ay Jan-e-jaan, teri qurbaton ka saman raha,

Mujhe zindagi se bhi pyar tha, Mujhe Ishq se bhi Aqidatain,
Go, boht kathan thay rastay, tera sath tha, mein rawan raha
