Bujha hua koi lamha, kisi charag ka daagh
Nazar paray to samajhna keh main bhi zinda hoon
Keh main bhi zinda hoon apnay ujaar dil ki tarah
Ujaar dil keh jahan aaj bhi tumharay baghair
Her aik shaam dharaktay hain khwahishon ki kiwaar
Her aik raat bikharti hai aarzu ki dhanak
Her aik subh dehektay hain zakhm zakhm gulab
Ujaah dil keh jahan aaj bhi tumharay baghair
Her aik pal meri aankhon main dhul ke dhalta hai
Tapti rut ki tapish se jism pighalta hai
Ujaar dil keh jahan doobta hua suraj
Jabeen e waqt pe likhta hai dooriyon ka payam
Palat ke dekhna chaho to nafraton se udhar
Pas e ghubar darakhshaan hai kab se aik hi naam
Wo naam jis pe musalsal hai aitamad mujhay
Wo naam loh e jahan per ubhar ke bolta naam
Nazar paray to samajhna keh tum ho yaad mujhay
