Tumhari hi tarz-e-takhatub ka rung aa chala tha

Sama'at liye ab tumhain ik muddat hui
Meri kuch pasandeedah batain bhi hain
Jin ko hasil tumhari pasandeedgi thi
Meri kuch kitabain hain
Jo tum nay shaid yunhi mang li theen
Mera ik mazi hai
Jis ko tumhari rafaqat nay mazi ka mafhoom bakhsha
Mera ik aaindah tha Jis kay aaina khanon mai
Aks aashna thay tumharay tarasheeda abroo, hijr si jabeen aur khaabon si aankhain
Meri chund khushiyan theen jin pe tumhari
Qamat ka saya-e-afreen tha
Woh aik phool jis ko kabhi tum nay
Saaray phoolon say chun ker rukh liya tha
Unhain aur kuch aur baton ko bhi
Apni yadon main rakhna
Unhain guftogoo kay kinaron main rakhna
Isharon main rakhna
Unhain zaat kay ista'aron main rakna
