Hamara kya hai ke ham to chirag-e-shab ki tarah
agar jale bhi to bas itni roshni hogi
ke jaise tund andheron ki raah main jugnu
zara si der ko chamke, chamak ke kho jaye
phir is ke baad kisi ko na kuch sujhai de
na shab katay na suraag-e-sahar dikhai de

hamara kya hai ke ham to pas-e-gubaar-e-safar
agar chale bhi to bas itni raah tay hogi
ke tez havaaon ki zard maa_il naqsh-e-qadam
zaraa si der ko ubhare, ubhar ke mit jaaye
phir us ke baad na rasta na rah_guzar mile
had-e-nigaah talak dasht-e-bekinar mile

hamari simt na dekho ke koi der main ham
qabila-e-dil-o-jaan juda hone vale hain
base basaaye huye shahar apani aankhon ke
misal-e-khanaa-e-viiraan ujarne vaale hain

hava kaa shor ye hi hai to dekhate rehna
hamari umar ke Khemay ukharne vaale hain

Ujray dil walay
Jinain apnii mohabbat dainii hai
Kuch phool hain
Jinn ko chunna hai
Aur harr kii soorat dainii hai
Kuch apnii neendain baqii hain
Jinain bantna hai kuch logoun mai
Unn ko bii too rahat dainii hai
Aiy umr-e-rawan!
Aahista chul
Abhi hasa qaraz chukana hai!!
